Scenestar

Los Angeles' #1 independent source for music news, contests, secret shows, presales, local concert calendar, set times, & more since 2006.

One of our favorite new venues is hosting a brief residency featuring Scenestar favorite Dirty Projectors! You can see Dirty Projectors at Blue Note Los Angeles, the new Hollywood music venue located next to the Cinerama Dome, as a trio (David Longstreth with Chris Bear & Karl McComas-Reichl) over 2 nights starting on Saturday, January 3, at 7 p.m. PDT and 9:30 p.m. PDT and wrapping up on Sunday, January 4, at 7 p.m. PDT and 9:30 p.m. PDT.

One thing to note about Blue Note LA is their $20 minimum per person from their full bar and dinner Menu. All seating is first-come, first-served. Table Seating is all ages, Bar Area is 21+. Bar Area tickets for patrons under 21 will not be honored.

We’re giving a lucky reader the chance to check out Dirty Projectors live at Blue Note LA on any of their four shows, courtesy of our contest for a pair of tickets to that show!

To win tickets, send us an entry with your full name, which of the four shows you want to go to, contact number, contact info, and whatever else you want to say (with the concert name in the subject line) to contest@thescenestar.com before Friday, January 2, at 10 a.m. PDT. Be sure to check your spam folder to see if you got a reply from us that you won our contest. Tickets will be held in Will Call, so please bring your government-issued photo ID to pick up your tickets to the show. Please note that there is a $20 food/drink minimum per ticket for shows at Blue Note Los Angeles in the table seating area and/or a one-drink minimum for the Bar Area.

Blue Note LA features a full-service kitchen and beverage menu, open for weekend brunches and dinner throughout the week. The food menu, crafted by chef Asaf Maoz of LA-based restaurant Carmel, showcases bold and internationally-inspired flavors, while the cocktail program leans into sophisticated riffs on jazz-era classics, all designed to complement the energy of the room.

If you don’t win, remaining tickets to see Dirty Projectors are on sale now via Ticketweb for $30 to $45 each, plus service fees (all-ages in the table area, 21+ at the bar).
