Hollywood will be the place to be this weekend, thanks to a multimedia love letter taking place at one of our favorite outdoor venues! In partnership with Get Lit – Words Ignite and the LA Phil, "If I Awaken in Los Angeles" will be taking place at The Ford on Friday, August 1, with an evening of spoken word, music, dance, and film to illuminate the diverse and vibrant spirit of the City of Angels.
Directed by award-winning producer and actress Gina Belafonte, with musical direction overseen by Grammy Award-winning musical director Derrick Hodge, the production will feature appearances by Color of Noize Orchestra, T H R O N E, Ignite, Diane Luby Lane, YVHIKV, Luis J. Rodríguez, Dante Basco, Jason Chu, Lev Allan Blitz, Sekou Andrews, Samantha Rios, Ariana Lee, Liv Rion, Tru, Get Lit Youth Poets, and more.
