Cruel World is just around the corner, Scenestar readers! Now you can start planning out your day now that Goldenvoice has officially released set times for their upcoming music festival.
One notable lineup change is The Motels no longer performing in Pasadena, but are being replaced by iconic electro-pop New Wave band, Berlin.
As we previously announced, Cruel World will be taking place on Saturday, May 20, at Brookside at the Rose Bowl with headliners Siouxsie and Iggy Pop. The list of curated goth and new wave acts scheduled to perform includes ABC, Adam Ant, Animotion, Aurat, Boy Harsher, Echo & The Bunnymen, Ela Minus, Gang of Four, Gary Numan, Glass Spells, GVLLOW, The Human League, Billy Idol, Love and Rockets, Modern English, Molchat Doma, Riki, The Soft Moon, The Vapors, Twin Tribes, and Urban Heat.
Limited tickets to Cruel World 2023 are on sale now via the festival ticketing site with tiered pricing starting at $159 to $179 each plus service fees for general admission; $249 each plus service fees for general admission plus; $399 each plus service fees for VIP, and $799 each plus service fees for either Clubhouse (Which includes a special viewing area and preferred parking). Either VIP option grants you everything a GA ticket provides, plus dedicated VIP entry, access to the VIP area adjacent to the main stage, air-conditioned restrooms, additional shade and seating areas, exclusive food & beverage vendors, and a commemorative festival poster.
