Before The Smashing Pumpkins' Shiny and Oh So Bright reunion tour gets to Los Angeles, the band will be playing an intimate show here next month! The band is already scheduled to play two all-ages shows at the Forum on Thursday, August 30, and Friday, August 31, but now Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin will take over a backyard in Studio City for a 21+ "1979" House Party on Thursday, June 28. The Smashing Pumpkins will then embark on the Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour on Thursday, July 12.
You can attend the "1979" House Party by submitting a contest entry here. The show is open to anyone in Canada (Except Quebec) and the U.S. with those chosen outside of Los Angeles will get a round trip flight, two nights at a Hilton hotel, a Yamaha guitar, and a $200 gift card for ground transportation. Fans have until Sunday, June 3 to enter to attend. You can still purchase tickets for their Shiny and Oh So Bright tour date at The Forum on Friday, August 31, via Ticketmaster for $29 to $150 each plus service fees.
