BUY TICKETS: Beethoven’s Ninth w/ Gustavo Dudamel & Vin Scully at the Hollywood Bowl
There’s no escaping the heat, Scenestar readers. It’s officially summer in Los Angeles, and the city wouldn’t be the same without the voice of Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully, our Show of the Night selection! He will read excerpts of speeches and debates by Abraham Lincoln, as part of Aaron Copland‘s orchestral work Lincoln Portrait, at the Hollywood Bowl tonight, and Tuesday, July 18. The two shows will be conducted by Gustavo Dudamel with the L.A. Philharmonic, and both shows also feature Copland‘s Fanfare for the Common Man and Beethoven‘s Ninth Symphony.
If you can’t get in to our Show of the Night, your other music options include performances by Dashboard Confessional, Marcia Griffiths, Niia, Psychic Love, Rise Against, Sports, UZ, and many more. Click here for ticket links and info on all of today’s shows as well as upcoming local shows on our concert calendar.
