Famed Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully, who retired last year, will narrate two shows at the Hollywood Bowl on Thursday, July 13, and Tuesday, July 18, reading excerpts of speeches and debates by Abraham Lincoln as part of Aaron Copland‘s orchestral work Lincoln Portrait. The shows will be conducted by Gustavo Dudamel with the L.A. Philharmonic, and both shows also feature Copland‘s Fanfare for the Common Man and Beethoven‘s Ninth Symphony.
