Afghan Whigs has scheduled two benefit shows to support the band’s guitarist Dave Rosser, who was recently diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer. Of the two shows, one of which will be held in New Orleans, there will be an all-ages L.A. show at the Teragram Ballroom on Wednesday, December 14, featuring Afghan Whigs performing Black Love in its entirety. The show also will feature performances by Mark Lanegan, Moby, and Carina Round.
In a statement, Afghan Whigs‘ Greg Dulli said: “Dave Rosser has been my close friend and bandmate for over a decade now. By doing these shows for him we hope to ease any financial stress he may face as he pursues treatment to combat his illness. 100% of the proceeds for these shows will go to his medical care. I’m hopeful that folks will come out and show their support for Dave who will be performing with us.”
Tickets for this Teragram Ballroom show will go on sale Friday, November 4, at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster for $50.00 each plus service fees. Fans also can donate to Dave Rosser’s Go Fund Me.
