The annual multi-day music, art, and technology festival Moogfest has launched a creative workshop and performance series titled Moogfest Dial-Tones, which will take place in various cities. For Angelenos, Moogfest Dial-Tones will make a stop this Sunday, December 20, at the Ace Hotel Downtown. The event is curated by Nosaj Thing, along with his friends Shlohmo, Emily Kokal (of Warpaint), and DJ Dodger Stadium, among others. Also, YACHT will host the afterparty on the roof and a few of their friends are expected to attend and DJ.

Workshops are led by a Moog engineer who teaches attendees how to build a Werkstatt-01 Synthesizer. That's followed by a Q&A and then a special, never-to-be-recreated performance by Nosaj Thing and company using 12 of the synths that were built. The afterparty will start at 10 p.m. at the Ace Hotel Upstairs Bar. Workshop attendance is limited to 20 people on a first-come, first-served basis. Click on the link below to RSVP.
