One of the best shows this week doesn’t happen once, but twice tonight! We’re talking about KCRW‘s Echo in the Canyon concerts, which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth of Southern California’s folk rock scene at the Orpheum tonight, October 12.
The 7:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. shows will feature Beck, Fiona Apple, Jakob Dylan, Cat Power, Regina Spektor, and Jade (formerly of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes) performing the music of The Byrds, The Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, and The Mamas & the Papas, among others. If you would like to attend the 10:30 p.m. show, we’re giving our readers a shot at winning our last-minute ticket contest!
For your chance at a pair of tickets to the late show, send your full name and contact info to contest@thescenestar.com by 5:00 p.m. today. Tickets also are available via Ticketmaster for $55.00 to $99.00 each plus service fees.
