Australia’s Cut Copy has announced an upcoming DJ tour, which coincides with the release of mixtape Forest Through the Trees. That mixtape, which you can stream right now via the Cutters Records SoundCloud, features tracks by Jamie XX, Four Tet, and Talking Heads, among others. As for the DJ tour, frontman Dan Whitford explains: “We’ve always DJed as long as the band has been around, and club culture is an important part of what Cut Copy is about. … This has been an important part of our musical makeup. So I guess it’s probably overdue that we’re finally doing proper DJ touring this year.” Cut Copy has scheduled shows at La Cave in Costa Mesa on Wednesday, July 8, and A Club Called Rhonda on Friday, July 10. They’ll also perform at the Mad Decent Block Party on Sunday, September 20.
Tickets to see Cut Copy at La Cave are on sale now via Ticketweb for $20.00 each plus service fees.
