BUY TICKETS: Brian Fest at the Fonda Theatre
Despite the cloudy morning, the live music options look bright, Scenestar readers. There are some cool concerts scheduled tonight, but our Show of the Night title goes to Brian Fest: A Night to Celebrate the Music of Brian Wilson! Held at the Fonda Theatre tonight, Brian Fest will feature performances by Norah Jones, Brandon Flowers of The Killers, Ann Wilson of Heart, Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd of the Flaming Lips, Devendra Banhart, M. Ward, Boz Scaggs, Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, Local Natives, Sebu Simonian of Capital Cities, and many more guests. Also scheduled is a special appearance by Brian Wilson himself. Proceeds from Brian Fest will benefit the Jameson Neighborhood Fund. In related news, Brian Wilson will release new album No Pier Pressure on April 7. There also is a biopic about the musician, entitled Love & Mercy, which stars Paul Dano and John Cusack as the younger and older Brian Wilson, respectively. The film will be released in theaters June 5.
