Yo La Tengo will participate in a special book release event next month! To celebrate the release of Amber Tamblyn's new book of poetry Dark Sparkler, which focuses on the lives and deaths of more than 25 actresses, the poet and the rock band will present a musical and lyrical hybrid showcase on Friday, April 24, at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever.
According to the press release, "the 45-minute show will be a journey intertwining verse and music to tell the emotionally charged stories of these deceased women, some of whom are buried inside The Hollywood Forever Cemetery, as well as Tamblyn’s own dark revelations in researching them over the course of six years."
