Get ready, Scenestar readers! Santa Monica's 89.9 FM KCRW is asking for your help again to stay on the air and continue to provide quality news and music programming. The radio station started its Fall 2014 Membership Drive today, Sept. 17, and it will continue until Wednesday, Sept. 24. You can listen to Morning Becomes Eclectic, featuring Anne Litt and Jason Bentley, or any of your favorite on-air shows, and pledge your support by calling KCRW at (800) 600-9279; volunteers will be answering the phones at the radio station's pledge room. Or you can donate online.
For your donation, you may receive such premiums as restaurant gift certificates, getaways, concert tickets, or enter to win prizes. (This time around, it's a trip to Bora Bora.) A popular pledge option is to give 40 meals to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, which we recommend if you can to help Angelenos in need. For donations of $60 or more, you will receive a Fringe Benefits card, which will give you discounts all around town.
The Scenestar is an enthusiastic supporter of KCRW, a radio station that is usually the first to play the new bands you grow to love, a sponsor of a lot of great shows here in Los Angeles, and a provider of great news programming throughout the day.
