It has been awhile—about six years!—but Black Kids will be back in town this summer! After a short East Coast tour last year, the Partie Traumatic band will hit the road once again, scheduling a 21+ headlining show at the Bootleg HiFi on Friday, August 15. Tickets for this show are on sale now via the venue's website for $10.00 each plus service fees.
Regarding Black Kids' absence, the band wrote on the Black Kids Facebook last year: HELLO BK FRIENDS! We're happy to announce that we will be performing live for the first time since like FOREVER. Many of you have inquired about whether or not we were, er, dead. And we're totally not. We just took some time to ourselves to load up on college degrees, procreate, and work on other things. We've been working on new music and hope to release album deux ASAP.
