As we recently reported, the upcoming Friday, March 1, Morrissey show at the Staples Center will be 100% vegetarian. However, Staples Center recently issued a press release countering that claim, stating it was merely increasing the number of vegetarian options at the venue. Morrissey has responded via True To You that the show will in fact be 100% vegetarian.
He writes: Reports that the Staples Center will not be 100% vegetarian on March 1st are playfully untrue. Contractually, all McDonalds vendors shall be closed down, and the only thing burning shall be my heart.
This upcoming Staples Center concert will also feature Patti Smith and opener Kristeen Young. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster for $29.00 to $129.50 each plus service fees, and a portion of ticket sales will benefit PETA. Recovering from a bleeding ulcer and Barrett's esophagus, Morrissey has canceled several dates on this tour, but he plans to be fully recovered for the Los Angeles show.
