We last reported that Frightened Rabbit has a new EP that will be released on Sept. 25. Well, that EP now has a name and a new music video, directed by Handheld Cine Club! The first single off the five-track State Hospital EP will be the title track, and you can listen to it now. According to singer Scott Hutchison, "State Hospital" will be on the forthcoming full-length album, which will be released in 2013 by Atlantic Records. The other four tracks are songs that didn't fit on an album, "but we thought these four still deserved to be given more than simply ‘B-side’ status," he writes. The band will perform two shows in the L.A. area this October. Frightened Rabbit will be at the Troubadour on Friday, Oct. 19, and at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana on Sunday, Oct. 21. Tickets for both shows are on sale now.
