LACMA is curating a cool new series, "Through The Mic", starting this week! "Through The Mic" explores contemporary Los Angeles hip hop featuring L.A. based artists with the first act taking the mic this Thursday, May 17 when Murs, Eligh and Scarub play a set. Kicking the night off will be a DJ set by KCRW's own Dan Wilcox. The "Through The Mic" concerts will take place in front of Chris Burden's Urban Light Sculpture at LACMA for $10 for LACMA members, $15.00 for the general public every third Thursday of the month going into October. Scheduled next in the series on Thursday, June 21 will be Medusa with Gizzle.
