Speaking of KCRW, it's that time once again to help one of our favorite radio stations here in Los Angeles. KCRW will be starting its Winter Membership Drive on Thursday, Jan. 26 till Friday, Feb. 3. Help support KCRW if you can and you know we'll be there answering phone like we do every year. Most of the Scenestar staff are not only fans but also members of KCRW!
Volunteering at KCRW involves helping answering phones in its pledge room located in their basement studio and easy to do! KCRW has a 20-minute online orientation slide show, so you can learn beforehand how to use the pledge system. We always make new friends, eat great food donated by local restaurants, win prizes and meeting some of our favorite KCRW DJs. Callers call in to get premiums they hear on the radio, winning prizes and support a station with the vision and freedom to play great new music, while other stations play Top 40 hits over and over. KCRW is usually the first to play the new bands you grow to love, and it sponsors a lot of great shows here in Los Angeles.
