It looks like Sunset Junction is not returning this summer. The festival was set to return for its 31st year of bringing live music to the streets of Silverlake but according to Buzz Bands, their permit was unanimously denied after a second hearing involving funds owed to the city for this and last year's event. Sunset Junction was take place on Saturday, August 27, and Sunday, August 28 but now festival acts 400 Blows, Art Brut, The Belle Brigade, Butthole Surfers, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Charles Bradley, Dum Dum Girls, Gayngs, Hanson, Helmet, Lil' Jon, the Melvins, Ozomatli, Swedish Eagle, Tapes N' Tapes and more are scrambling behind the scenes to salvage their trip to Los Angeles with some last minute local shows or sadly, not perform at all due to these last minute developments.
No word yet on the official cancellation but that's how it's looking so no word yet on any tickets refunds for those who purchased tickets to the event. We'll keep you posted on other news regarding the possible cancellation of Sunset Junction or any other shows springing up due to today's developments!
