One of the shows we've been looking for is finally happening this weekend! Part of KCRW's World Festival Series, the Serge Gainsbourg Tribute will be taking place on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. with some big names as special guests including Beck, Ed Droste (Grizzly Bear), Lulu Gainsbourg, Victoria Legrand (Beach House), Sean Lennon, Charlotte Kemp Muhl, Mike Patton (Faith No More) and Zola Jesus.
Led by Jean Claude Vannier, French composer, arranger and longtime Gainsbourg collaborator, the legendary concept album, Histoire de Melody Nelson, will be performed in full along with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra plus more Serge Gainsbourg classics throughout the evening.
