Scenestar

It's that time again! One of our favorite radio stations here in Los Angeles, KCRW, will be starting its pledge drive today, Thursday, Jan. 27 till Friday, Feb. 4. KCRW is a public radio station based in Santa Monica, Calif., and it plays a lot of the music we know and love here at The Scenestar. In fact, most of the Scenestar staff are KCRW members. During this pledge drive, KCRW will have some cool contests including a trip to Greece, a Subaru Impreza, or Virgin Airlines tickets to anywhere they fly IN THE WORLD as well as Coachella 3-day passes, dinners, gift certificates, and more as premiums! Some of us are also volunteering during the drive, so if you get one of us on the phone, be sure to say hello. We'll actually be there tonight starting at 8 p.m. if you want to donate as a fan of The Scenestar! Call (800) 600-5279 to do so and ask for us.

Pledging your donation to support KCRW is more than just winning prizes, getting cool premiums and winning four pairs of concert tickets a year. It's about supporting a station with the vision and freedom to play great new music when other stations play the Top 40 hits. KCRW is usually the first station to play the new bands you grow to love, and it sponsors A LOT of great shows here in Los Angeles. So Los Angeles, if you love the great music KCRW plays, please pledge to keep the radio station going and keep great music alive over the airwaves of Los Angeles. Tune in to 89.9 FM locally or stream live online at KCRW.com to listen and make a pledge.
