The big musical festival that we anxiously await every year is almost upon us! The 12th annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will take place in Indio, Calif., from Friday, April 15, to Sunday, April 17. Kings of Leon will headline on Friday; Arcade Fire will assume headlining duties on Saturday; and Kanye West will end the festival's long weekend of great music on Sunday. There are also some awesome reunions this year, including Big Audio Dynamite, Caifanes, Death From Above 1979, and Suede.
Other acts on the lineup include !!!, A-Trak, Animal Collective, Best Coast, The Black Keys, Boys Noize, Bomba Estéreo, Bright Eyes, Broken Social Scene, Cage the Elephant, The Chemical Brothers, Cold War Kids, Cut Copy, Duck Sauce, Duran Duran, Empire of the Sun, Erykah Badu, Fanfarlo, Fat Freddy's Drop, Green Velvet, Interpol, Jimmy Eat World, Kele, Joy Orbison, Lauryn Hill, Leftfield, Lightning Bolt, MEN, Menomena, Moving Units, Mumford & Sons, Nosaj Thing, Omar Rodriguez Lopez (of The Mars Volta), One Day as a Lion (Zack De la Rocha of Rage Against The Machine), The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Phantogram, PJ Harvey, The Presets, Robyn, Sasha, Scissor Sisters, She Wants Revenge, Sven Vath, The Swell Season, Tame Impala, Trentemøller, Twin Shadow, The Twelves, Two Door Cinema Club, Warpaint, Wiz Khalifa, Yelle, and many more bands to satisfy your musical palate.

Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster this Friday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. Also available will be the ever popular layaway option, which has been available to fans of the festival since December. Three-day passes are $269, plus $3 for charity and service fees. Limited VIP will be available for $699, plus $3 for charity and service charges. New rule! Only ticketholders will be allowed within one (1) square mile of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Festival wristbands will be sent to ticketholders three (3) weeks before the festival to have ready to go when they get there and expedite entry. Expanded camping options will include car, traditional tent camping, and a new Lake Eldorado camping option, which will include camping gear. Unfortunately, Coachella has removed last year's RV camping option.
Upgraded camping and VIP options will be handled by Valley Music Travel, which will provide exclusive travel packages, local hotel shuttle transportation, and private home rentals with VIP Coachella access.
