Pomona was rocking at the FYF Christmas show- inside and OUT-
HIGHLIGHTS:::The Lovely Bad Things brought it that night and played songs off their debut release- I was disappointed that they did not play Surfin on Skulls but they did play two new songs which were awesome.
AND- Fullerton’s own Audacity kicked it- Teenage Town sounded incredible. AND – OFF’s old / new style punk turned the Glasshouse into a counter-clock wise maelstrom of moshiness – AND DANGER was just bad ass as usual. AND Big Freedia had the love in the air- although I didn’t quite like the look of that ladder on stage- it was like Home Depot AZZ UP- it was worth it though seeing the drummer for The Lovely Bad Things doing his booty dance. AND- NO AGE- NO fucking age- had the crowd buzzing. The only bad that had a visual fiesta of a show with images beamed on lazily hung sheets added a trippy feel to their set. AND Crystal Antlers who were supposed to be joined by special guest Strange Boys- (they could not attend for some reason)- brought the house DOWN- a packed house at Aladdin Jr’s. Apart from the rip offs happening at the Jr’s food fare it was an incredible event.
