With the Greek Theatre and Gibson Amphitheatre announcing through Premiere Marquee Club their summer schedules for 2010, we thought it would be fun to put together our own package and give tickets away to some of these upcoming shows! With so many Scenestar-friendly artists playing this year, it was tough to choose between Rodrigo y Gabriela, Serj Tankian, Jenny Lewis, Norah Jones, Band of Horses at the Greek Theatre and Vicente Fernandez at the Gibson Amphitheatre, among all the shows listed for this year. We narrowed it down to three concerts, which showed us how easy it is to put together a minimum package to get the maximum benefits that come with joining the Premiere Marquee Club.

The full lineup of shows for both venues is listed at www.pmcla.com. Tickets for these shows should be on sale soon via Ticketmaster, but by purchasing tickets in advance through Premiere Marquee Club, you’re guaranteed to have first dibs at any show that gets added later in the year! Examples include the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Phoenix and Monsters of Folk. Here are the three we picked for this contest:

August 21st: Al Green at the Greek Theatre

September 25th: Band of Horses at the Greek Theatre

November 12th: Vicente Fernandez at the Gibson Amphitheatre

Easy, right? We know we left out other concerts we wanted to see at the Greek Theatre and Gibson Amphitheatre, but as a member, you can always get a larger package or add more later. For now, we’re giving you a chance to win tickets to these shows. The contest lasts for a week, per show. Just send us your list of which three shows you would have picked if you could have chosen the three concerts to oscar@thescenestar.com.

This week we’re starting with Al Green at the Greek Theatre on Wednesday, August 21. Send us your entry between now and Thursday, March 18, at 10 a.m. to win tickets to this show. On Friday, March 19, we’ll take entries for Band of Horses at the Greek Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 25, with the contest ending on March 25, at 10 a.m. Finally, we’ll begin to take your entries on Friday, March 26, to win Vicente Fernandez at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Friday, Nov. 12, with the contest ending on Thursday, April 1, at 10 a.m. Good luck Scenestar readers, and see you at the Greek Theatre and Gibson Amphitheatre!
