More sad news came last night Scenestar readers when we lost another musical legend. Soul singer Teddy Pendergrass passed away last night, Wednesday, January 13th in Philadelphia at Bryn Mawr Hospital after battling with colon cancer at the age of 59. Teddy Pendergrass first rose to fame as the lead singer of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes before he went solo in 1976.
Teddy Pendergrass has been paralysed from the waist down from an accident in 1982. Some of Teddy's his biggest hits included "Close The Door", "I Don't Love You Anymore", "If You Don't Know Me By Now" and "Love TKO" amoungst his many classics.
