Two of The Scenestar's most influencial forces became one when Scenestar favorite Cafe Tacuba won MTV's Los Premios Awards show Leyenda Award at the Gibson Amphitheatre this past Thursday. To the surprise of Cafe Tacuba and the Gibson crowd, Scenestar favorite Morrissey presented the MTV Leyenda Award to Mexico's Cafe Tacuba for 20 years of being one of the most influencial bands of their generation. The visibly moved members of Cafe Tacuba accepted the award and indirectly thanked Morrissey for his inspiration in influencing their music as well as their fans.
Lucky for local Cafe Tacuba fans, the band has decided to return to Southern California this November to play more 20th Anniversary Tour dates but at venues smaller than the 1st time around when they toured here early this year.
