If you live in Los Angeles, you've seen, met, and danced to the sounds of DJ AM at Cinespace Tuesdays, Banana Split Sundays, HARD, multiple Dim Mak events or Los Angeles area clubs.
Having survived a plane crash in South Carolina last year, the news today hits us like a ton of bricks. Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was found dead this afternoon in New York City.
According to TMZ, Adam Goldstein was found by a concerned friend that went to Adam's apartment to no response after DJ AM hasn't been seen in a few days. Police later came and knocked down the door only to find Adam Goldstein dead. No cause of death has been reported and the cause of his death are just unfounded preliminary reports. We at The Scenestar with heavy hearts are heartbroken by the news and send our prayers to his family, friends and fans of DJ AM. Adam was a personal inspiration to those of us who knew him at The Scenestar and his influence will be felt for years to come for those who knew this selfless giving soul. We lost more than an artist in DJ AM, for alot of us we lost a friend. R.I.P. Adam Goldstein.
