It looks like The Verve's Los Angeles headlining show to support their latest album Forth is REALLY not happening anytime soon. According to The Guardian and The Daily Mirror, the band haven't spoken since last year's V Festival and drinking problems affected the band. Nick McCabe and Simon Jones have already started work with a new band, The Black Ships (No relation to Black Ships, the Canadian punk band) while the musical status of Richard Ashcroft is unknown.

Hah, hah!!! Fucking predictable, I knew it!!! I asked their manager last year before the Coachella, NY and Vegas shows ‘if they actually manage to stay together beyond these states side shows when they might come to LA’ and he got all pissy.
An early tip was McCabe having a fit on stage in Vegas, banging his guitar into his amp and throwing his guitars (not tossing to a tech) into the wings.
And Forth sux. -

another clue that their reunion was half-assed was the quality of their website…it was like they payed some student $50 to publish a photo online. WEAK.
