Local band Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros somehow found a way to fit themselves onto Amoeba's tiny stage this past Wednesday night.  Performing for enthusiastic fans and curious shoppers, the band's obvious joy for playing together is infectious; one can't help but smile and be caught up in the giddiness right along with them.  The group's whimsical personality could even be seen at their merchandise table, with the area covered in candy and flowers for the autograph session following the evening's set.

Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros will continue the FREE celebration in conjunction with the release of debut album Up From Below. The final offering of this year's Also I Like to Rock concert series at the Hammer Museum will feature a headlining performance by the band on July 23.

This will be the group's last Los Angeles performance before embarking on a U.S. and European tour.  The band's next scheduled SoCal date is Oct. 3 for the Manimal Festival near Joshua Tree.
