Louisxiv Parting is such sweet sorrow. For whatever internal reason, some bands after so much time decide to go their seperate ways. Whatever that reason may be, Louis XIV is no longer together. Issuing a statement after Brandon Flowers mentioned in an interview with NME that the band had broken up, Louis XIV have decided to addresss the statement made by the Killers frontman that indeed the band members have gone their seperate ways.

Young ladies everywhere can now breathe a sign of relief that Louis XIV's parade of debauchery is no longer coming to a venue near them. For now, memories of the San Diego band blaring "Finding Out True Love Is Blind" is now reserved as a early decade selection on the dance floor & maybe a possible Coachella reunion in about 5 years. Who knows? Below is their statement issued via their MySpace:

NME Brandon Flowers interview..LXIV Broke UP….

Brian Karscig says this:
"Never say never to another LXIV record…just not anytime soo

Brian Karscig has apparently left the band and started group The Nervous Wreckords after stating, "Louis XIV started to feel more like a business than a camaraderie, and in that, the music started to suffer and started feeling uninspired"

Jason Hill is also working with other bands in the studio and on solo material as wel

Brian Karscig, "The memories, love and pride i have for LOUIS XIV (Jason, Mark, Jimmy,) are undying…It just felt right to walk away now and to pursue an uninhibited creative outlet, was the right thing for me to do as an artist. Making music should never have to be a forced thing, or a chore…it should bring happiness and a desire to live, and that's what I'm doing for now."
