Recordstoreday2009_Saturday, April 18, will be the second annual Record Store Day, a day that celebrates record stores around the country, particularly independent ones. Pitchfork has compiled a handy guide of exclusive releases to be made available on its site, and also check out the official Record Store Day website for a list of participating stores.


Amoeba Records in Hollywood has planned a day of events, including a DJ set by Wendy & Lisa and DJ Babu.

Meanwhile, Fingerprints in Long Beach will feature performances by Crystal Antlers at 12 p.m., The Bird and the Bee at 5:30 p.m. and Matt Costa at 7 p.m.
