When bands break up, our hearts break just a little. So when both The Blood Brothers and Pretty Girls Make Graves broke up within a year, damn that put a dent in our hearts. But we were shortsighted to think that new projects wouldn’t come along and that new bands wouldn’t form to bring us new music. Jaguar Love is one of those new projects featuring members from both bands.

Jaguar Love features Johnny Whitney and Cody Votolato from The Blood Brothers and Jay Clark from Pretty Girls Make Graves. Yes, you get the shrieks from Johnny, and you can hear the influences from both sides of the bands, but the really good thing is that they don’t bury their sound in one or the other. Jaguar Love has already signed to Matador Records and will be releasing their full-length album in August. To support that album, they are about to launch on a worldwide tour.
