The Cure Release “The Only One” Video

1621329full Halt! Alto! Meetings have to be rescheduled, laundry has to be put on hold and the trip to the mall will have to wait because one of The Scenestar’s ultimate favorite bands, The Cure, has just released a new music video for their new single, “The Only One.”

And now we can add this song to our never ending list of “Love songs to dedicate to that boy/girl whom we have a crush on.” But this is just one of many surprises Robert Smith and company have planned from now until the release of their new album on Sept. 13.

Since one single is never enough, The Cure will release additional singles on June 13, July 13 and August 13. The second single, set for release June 13, is titled “Freakshow/All Kinds of Stuff.”

So, in the meantime, you can watch this wonderful video for “The Only One,” which should jumpstart your heart, because we know that you all love to sing “Friday I’m in Love.”

    I once asked Robert why he used “cats” in so many of his songs. I thought he’d give me a story about a long ago cherished pet or some abstract muse on the gracefulness of felines. Instead, he just kind of said, ‘s’pose it ryhmes with a lot of things.’
