Here’s your revolution Black Rebel Motorcycle Club fans! AND Jesus and Mary Chain fans! The rumors are true. Scenestar favorites Black Rebel Motorcycle Club has announced on their official Web site that they have been invited to support their long-time musical influence, Jesus and Mary Chain, at the JAMC’s October 23 show at the Wiltern LG.

When asked about the reunion of the seminal indie rock icons for Coachella 2007, BRMC’s Peter Hayes and Robert Levon Been replied, “I think that the world needs gritty rock and roll right now.” Having been strongly influenced by the fuzzy feedback laden sounds of Jesus and Mary Chain, this lineup should be a dream bill for Peter and the boys, as well as fans of both bands. One can only hope they join each other on stage for a 30-minute version of “Just Like Honey” or “Heart and Soul”!

Jesus and Mary Chain will embark on a small West Coast tour during the last week of October, and there are rumors a new album is in the works. It’s anyone’s guess if this is a one time only event, or if indeed the band is back in business full time. Regardless, now is definitely the time to see them!

BRMC continues to tour exhaustively in support of Baby 81, and this newly added Los Angeles date marks one of their last shows in the U.S. until sometime in 2008. After BRMC wraps up their U.S tour, they will head back to Europe in November and ring in the new year in Australia.

We’ve said it before, but this show is going to sell out without a doubt, so get your tickets now!

Spanktastic! I wonder if they’ll get together for a jam or two. Will ScarJo be there?

thankfully robert has gone on record saying he was not impressed with scarlett, and he doesn’t like actresses. so my faith in him remains in tact. 🙂 but yeah, if they jam on stage together, better get those camera phones out. how is the wiltern’s security?

Wiltern isn’t too bad. I bet you can get some good shots. 🙂

Shots aren’t a problem (for point & shoots; I dunno about the bigger ones), but if they catch you taking video they’ll make you stop. At least, that’s how it was the last time I was there.

yeah, they stopped people at the brmc show at metro here in chicago this week, too. they’ve really clamped down on that. but it’s really ridiculous; the quality isn’t high enough on most of these videos for people to profit from them. they’re just trying to preserve for their own memories and to let people who can’t be there get a taste. i hope someone goes and sends me photos! especially of you know who…
