EarlimartmainUPDATE: Local favorites Earlimart are embarking on a nationwide tour to promote August 21 release Mentor Tormentor, but before they go, they’ve planned a Los Angeles send-off. Two, in fact!

Aaron Espinoza and friends are hosting two record release parties. The first will take place August 17 at Santa Monica’s Women’s Center, with local bands Happy Hollows and Castledoor also performing. Tickets are $12 ($15 night of show).

Earlimart also will perform at the Echoplex in Echo Park on August 21. Tickets are on sale now at TicketWeb. The String Dream Team also will perform as well as special guests.

But that’s not all! Earlimart also will be performing one last date in Los Angeles at the end of their nationwide tour. The band will perform at the Troubadour on October 24. Tickets are not yet on sale.

Mentor Tormentor is Earlimart’s fifth album, written and produced by Espinoza and Ariana Murray at The Ship, the band’s studio in Eagle Rock. Majordomo Records will release the album on August 21, but you can preview three of Mentor Tormentor’s tracks on Earlimart’s MySpace page.

No. Two parties. Record is not plural. If it was, then it would be two records.
