UPDATE: After performing at this year’s Coachella as well as at a secret gig at the Troubadour, the Arctic Monkeys are returning to the States and will perform in Los Angeles on Sept. 25!

OK. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the Arctic Monkeys are performing at the Palladium, the venue known for its ridiculously strict policies and unfriendly security. Tickets go on sale Saturday, August 4, at 10am and cost $27.50. But KROQ is having a presale this Friday, August 3, at 10am to 10pm. Password: FLUORESCENT. There is an eight-ticket limit. Really? The first and last time I was at the Palladium was for Ladytron, Ratatat and The Faint last December and the security was okay (I’ve had worse at the Henry Fonda). Anyway, I thought this venue was recently bought out — so I assumed renovation (which is what I think it needs), but maybe instead they’ll handle things differently under new management? =/

Hmm, I was at that same show and the security was so mean to me. As if I carried around knives or something. But perhaps it has improved.
Has anyone noticed Ticketmaster’s site is screwy? This week for Stars and the Cure, it was acting up.
