BUY TICKETS: Coldplay at the Hollywood Palladium

Happy Martin Luther King Day, Scenestar readers. The holiday weekend is almost done for those of you that have the day off, but we're starting off with a big name as our pick for Show of the Night: Coldplay! Besides their already scheduled Citi Sound Vault show at the Hollywood Palladium on Tuesday, January 21, Coldplay will play a Martin Luther King Day benefit show tonight to support Reform LA Jails, which campaigns for prison reform and advocates alternatives to incarceration. Compton hip hop artist Boogie and upcoming rapper Bobby Gonz will open the show. Guest speakers include Patrisse Cullors, founder of Reform LA Jails, actress America Ferrera, co-founder of Harness, and Natalie Portman

If you can't get into our Show of the Night, your other music options include performances by Kate Clover, Figs Vision, Ghost-Note, Nada Surf, Tribe Friday, John Vanderslice, WASI, and many more. Also, tonight is residency night in Los Angeles, so if you're 21 and over, there's a bunch of FREE shows by local bands that you can check out.
