Magnetic Fields have released a new music video for “’83 Foxx and I,” a track from 50 Song Memoir, which will be released March 10 via Nonesuch. The video was directed by Alex Basco Koch. Check it out above.
As reported earlier, Stephin Merritt and company will perform at UCLA Royce Hall on Thursday, April 27 (Program A), and Friday, April 28 (Program B). These shows will feature 50 years of artifacts that are both musical (e.g., vintage computers, reel-to-reel tape decks) and decorative (e.g., tiki bar, shag carpet), and the performers will play seven instruments that are either traditional or invented in the last 50 years. Program A will feature songs one to 25, and Program B will feature songs 26 to 50. Tickets for these shows are on sale now via Ticketmaster for $29.00 to $59.00 each plus service fees.
