Braids have released a new music video for “Joni,” a track from recent EP release Companion. The video was directed by Maria Ines Manchego. Regarding the video, singer Raphaelle Standell-Preston explains: “The video started with the desire to film in Los Angeles. I was spending the winter there, and was drawn to the opposing feelings that the city gave off: cluttered though spacious, freeing yet difficult, palm trees in a desert. The song itself sounded like the push and pull of all these things.”
As reported earlier, the Canadian art rock act will headline an 18+ show at The Echo on Thursday, May 26, and tickets are on sale now via Ticketfly for $11.50 each plus service fees.
