Presale: Arcade Fire at the Shrine Auditorium

As reported early last week, Arcade Fire are headed to the West Coast in support of their latest release, The Suburbs. You can catch Arcade Fire at the Shrine Auditorium on Thursday, October 7 and Friday, October 8. Included on their tour of California are the Greek Theatre in Berkeley on Saturday, October 2 and an intimate date in Big Sur at the 400 capacity Henry Miller Library on Tuesday, October 5.


Tickets to see Arcade Fire at the Shrine Auditorium go on sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, August 20 at 10 a.m. but fans can buy presale tickets right now via Arcade Fire’s fan presale for the Los Angeles area shows! There will be a AMEX presale Wednesday, August 18 at 10 a.m. No AMEX? KROQ has another presale on Thursday, August 19 at 10 a.m. Password: KROQSUBURBS.     Luis would you by any means consider letting me buy your second ticket?
    I was trying so hard to get tickets to that show, and the site froze up right at noon, and I had no idea that the tickets were on sale earlier. Got on the waitlist, but I feel like that’s probably not going to work out.
    I assume you already plan to take someone, but in the unlikely situation you don’t, I would be forever indebted to you if you help me get into that show.

    Just curious, did anybody receive some type of advance notice from the Arcade Fire website or CrowdSurge regarding the Tuesday ticket presale through the Arcade Fire website this week? Personally, I never got an email or saw any type of posting online indicating when the presale was starting (and also thought it was crappy that the presale started at 7AM Pacific Time). Just wondering if I missed something.
    For those of you going to either show, enjoy yourselves. I saw them in Washington DC in 2007 (w/ The National opening) for Neon Bible and they def live up to the hype.
